RULE OF THE MONTH

R&A Rule 5.6a (Unreasonable Delay of Play):

Prompt Pace: Players must play at a reasonable speed, which includes keeping up with the group in front.

Reasonable Delays: A short delay for certain reasons may be allowed, such as searching for a ball (up to three minutes).

Actions Affecting Pace: Examples of unreasonable delay include slow play, delaying while searching for a ball, or not moving quickly between greens and tees.

R&A Rule 5.6b (Prompt Pace of Play) Recommendations: 

Play when ready (ready golf) + Limit searching time to the permitted three minutes + Move quickly between shots and holes.
