Lee successfully defends his Masters title
It’s been over 20 years since a Masters champion has won two years in a row (a certain Mr Butler in 2002 & 2003), but over 2 rounds on 2 different courses, Lee shows why he is the player to beat on the big occasion. Competitors were blessed with a small window of good weather on day 1 and beautiful sunshine on day 2. A fair bit of water to contend with and some tight treelined holes (especially on the Gainsborough course) meant accuracy off the tee and a bit of luck (as always) was required. It was a tale of two halves for Andy J who was leading after day 1 but fell away on day 2 and finished second overall. In an opposite fashion, Martin played like a drain on day 1 but turned it around on day 2 to finish in joint 3rd spot overall alongside Stuart who played steadily on both days. A great Masters organised perfectly as usual. Full result is below. Roll on Celtic Manor in 2025!
